Cash-Matters has identified an increasing number of 'alternative' markets where you can trade and make a decent amount of money. Because they are quite querky and new there is the potential to make some very big profits.
These markets will come up as time goes on and we will comment here and in the Cash-matters Forum about trading strategies. Cash-Matters has created a Calendar which you can used to plan your trading events
Some of the markets that we would consider trading are as follows:
BBC Sports Personality of the year
A simple trade which uses the BBC's Television Program to trade personalities as they appear live. People that will be familiar of this yearly program will understand that each personality appears for a few minutes and viewers get a look at their profile. As each person appears their odds drop.
The trade is to ensure that a BACK bet is placed prior to their appearence followed by a LAY bet after. This ensures a guaranteed profit what ever the outcome.
Party Conferences
Based on the principle that at the time of each party conference the odds that they will win the next general election will fall. Again, BACK the price before the conference and LAY when the price falls. The only problem will be that your money will be tied up until the election but there will be a nice surprise when there is one as you take your hard earn cash !
Big Brother
Again, another quirk. If you follow the program then you will identify lots of scenarios where the public will fall in or out of flavour with people. Where you have this situation you can take advantage of the moving market.
White Christmas
Become a weather expert using Cash-Matters. We will be advising you where to put your money 4 weeks before the big day making sue that Santa gives you a little Christmas bonus !
